Oh, if only our kitchen cabinets had just four bowls and a few hand towels in them... The reality is that we've got piles of things in our cupboards and always need new ways to be more organized. These undershelf baskets are a dream. Want to know how we use ours?
We have a big stack of plastic take-out containers that we clean and reuse like Tupperware, and the lids are always stacked precariously on top of the bottoms. We threw one of these baskets in the cabinet, and now the tops are contained in the basket, with the bottoms neatly stacked underneath. We can pull one out easily; no avalanche of plastic tubs.
It's a great way to have small items (that would normally be buried in the back of a cabinet) within easy reach or organize kitchen towels and sponges. These shelves slide right into a cabinet, no assembly required, and come in a variety of widths.
• Buy them: Undershelf Baskets, $6.99 to $8.99 from The Container Store

I have actually been thinking about doing just this. Currently I have one large tupperware that cracked that i use to keep my lids in, but its not the most ideal set up as it still takes up room on the shelf. Encouraging to hear this works well for someone else, will definitely swing by and pick one up next time i see a container store.
I could use some of these for sure! Wish we had a Container Store in state.
i bought one of these and it wouldn't fit in the cabinet. the door wouldn't close because the part around the shelf came out too far. i put it in my linen closet for washcloths. i would use them all over if they fit where i needed them.
They also make a version that holds sheet pans! I have one in my pantry, you can see it hovering below the top shelf in this picture (oh, it looks like I actually had a note pointing it out!):

n terms of depth, I have two half sheets stacked together, with two quarter sheets on those.
goodLife{eats}, I've got several, none of them from the Container Store, so keep looking! I think I found most of them at Home Depot or Lowes, but I might have picked up one or two from Target, or even Staples. Any place that sells the closet organizer stuff will probably have them.
Everyone, be careful with weight. I had plates stacked in an extra deep one in a previous kitchen, and broke one of the welds holding the basket together. Luckily, no plates broke! (Maybe the Container Store ones are sturdier, but I've not had luck with this sort of wire shelving for anything except light weight stuff.)
We have two of those in our pantry! One holds tea towels, the other holds plastic wrap, tin foil, parchment paper, etc.
It'd be great to get one for cookie sheets like Rebecca's, although I'm not sure it would fit in our pantry closet.
We have three in our pantry that I use for the kids school snacks that don't need refrigeration, and other stuff like cake mixes and KD. Those things aren't heavy, and the extra vertical space is devine.
Ours are from IKEA.
Oh - can anybody tell me where I can find bowls like those on the top shelf?
I have three very similar bowls I purchased used, but they have no markings...
I use these in my pantry to hold small seasoning packets, muffin mixes and pasta packages. One in my laundry perfectly holds my open dryer sheet box so I can just grab one as needed.
My mum uses these in her spice cupboard, for the littler bottles. Works like a charm!
