We're in love with these uniquely-shaped condiment dishes. They look like a terraced landscape, and are used for holding oil, vinegar, capers, spices, pickles, and whatever else is on hand.
If bread was dipped in oil, the excess oil could be squeezed off by rubbing against the "ridges" to prevent drips on clothes. In addition to being practical, they're also aesthetic; olive oil poured in them is shown off in several hues of green against the rings of the dish.
They come in a set of four, and at $40, we think they're quite a steal. Get them here.

I love the concept, but ... well, is it just me, or do all of these dishes look like ears?
Nougat -
you are not alone; I had the same thought.
Needless to say I find them a little creepy.
Blast. I hadn't thought of that until you said it. Now I can't get it out of my head!
Ears without a doubt. (Not dishes I would willingly serve olive oil in...)
Urinals. They look like table top urinals.
