We love mustard as a condiment (on these, of course, and these, too). But mustard can be an integral part of dishes more complex than your average sandwich. The savory bite of mustard (perhaps mellowed by some cream) paired with pork is just so, so good, and winter feels like mustard weather to us. What about you?
Mustard sauce is a common accompaniment to salmon—we've discussed that here—but it's perfect for chicken and pork. And the mustard-creamed spinach and savory mustard ice cream we found look so fresh and interesting.

Can you fix the link for "Rigatoni with Shredded Pork in Mustard Cream Sauce"? It's pointing to the page for "Peppered Filets with Grainy Mustard Cream Sauce", and I really, really want the rigatoni recipe :)
The first recipe (chicken) goes to the dijon ice cream site...
I have an awesome recipe for mustard-crusted tofu! It was published in Bon Appetit a few years ago. It's a good, hearty, winter meal. http://www.epicurious.com/recipes/food/views/Mustard-Crusted-Tofu-with-Kale-and-Sweet-Potato-239827
I suspect that all the links are a little out, the first one points to number six and number three points to number two!
A really yummy mustard recipe is Alton Brown's caesar dressing, which actually doesn't taste much like caesar dressing to me, but has a pronounced and delicious mustard flavor.

don't be put off by the silken tofu or the "no guilt" moniker. i don't taste tofu at all in this dressing, but the tofu does impart a really nice creaminess--i've been basing a lot of dressings on silken tofu since i first tried this recipe.
here is the link to the first recipe

So sorry guys! All links are fixed now.
Man, I love mustard! I use it on so many things....cold lentils, potato salad, egg salad and chicken salad-
new potatoes and sauerkraut-
drizzled on split pea soup-
honey mustard on pretty much anything (but especially pretzel sticks)
I always put mustard in macaroni and cheese, potato salad dressing, tuna salad, and chicken salad. Basically, anything with a cream sauce. Plus vinaigrette for anything from lettuce to green beans to potatoes. Plus it's fantastic on sandwiches.
I love mustard in vinaigrettes, covering chicken that's then dredged in panko and baked, spread across the bottom of a savory tart, on sandwiches ... pretty much anywhere!
One of my favorites is bratwurst with kale, potatoes, and a creamy mustard sauce (http://batterlicker.com/2010/10/october-feast-warm-potato-salad-with-bratwurst-and-kale-in-creamy-mustard-sauce/).
I like lilbetty's idea for drizzling it on soup!
There's a pasta, cheese and broccoli dish with a hearty mustard-cream sauce that I've made a few times. It uses a mild cheese (and less of it) and is a nice, light change-up to conventional mac and cheese.
The Chicken Dijonnaise recipe from the original Silver Palate cookbook. Basically just boneless chicken breasts in a sauce of mustard, cream and white wine, but it's so yummy and savory. It seems homey enough for every day dinner but fancy enough for a party: I often had this for my "birthday dinner" as a kid.
Mashed potatoes are wonderful with a bit of mustard as "secret" ingredient (not much, you shouldn't be able to spot it).
I made this warm winter vegetable salad from Food & Wine last night with dijon in the dressing, and it was wonderful!

mustard + mayo + catsup makes a good dip for fish n' fries
mustard + mayo + chicken makes a good "pollo a la mostaza"
:)
I love a mustard glaze on ham. It can be used by itself or mixed with brown sugar.
