Gluten-Free Labeling Now Held to a Higher Standard

On August 5th the FDA made a ruling on gluten-free labeling. On or after this date, anything labeled as "gluten-free" must have less than 20 parts of a million of the protein.

With the rise of the gluten-free trend, this ensures that companies that label products as "gluten-free" are not doing so just for marketing purposes.
