2005 Un-Gift Guide: Intro

A general rule of thumb in our house is the best gifts are edible, or otherwise temporary. The world is simply filled up with way too much stuff. Now and then something really useful like a bicycle, something meaningful like a meditation shawl, or something just downright fine like jewelry is certainly not turned away. But in general, we are humble gift givers, and likewise, we receive gifts in the same way.

Of course, things related to the kitchen, are high up on the list, especially those that only take up room in our home until they are eaten. And so, today, we begin our 2005 Un-Gift Guide.
