Straw Mat from The ...

ohmygod this is beautiful.
I believe the lamp is the Harmon Pendant from Restoration Hardware.
I like this a lot. It seems very warm and inviting. The combination of darker wood and steel are pleasantly unexpected (for me, anyway). I would've never really thought to use those tones together but it looks good. The wood softens the industrial feeling of the metallic accents and the white adds a nice balance.
My dream is to have a Hamptons-inspired white kitchen with Carrera marble. But my husband does most of the cooking, and the industrial vibe of this place is probably what suits us better. The island, in particular. He's not a delicate cook-er. Splashing, chopping, splooshing, splattering... All that in a white kitchen is asking for trouble, isn't it?
