We're itching to break out the craft supplies and make some of these paper lanterns for ourselves! A string or two would add the perfect special touch to an evening garden party or other outdoor escape, don't you think?
This tutorial comes from Anna at Once Wed. She uses a handful of readily-available supplies to craft the lanterns, and lays out all the steps with easy to follow instructions. If you can cut and glue, you can make these lanterns!
She suggests decorating the garland with the names of the person or people being celebrated, but you could just as easily spell out a message or draw a simple design. We think even a star-scape of random hole punches would wind up looking elegant and festive in the end.
We can picture stringing these garlands around a balcony railing, under the eves, or along the edge of a buffet table. How else would you use these lights in your space?
Check out the tutorial and try this project for yourself!
