Leftover fruit salad can turn soggy pretty quick, and while it may be perfectly safe to eat, the appearance and texture aren't terribly appetizing. Our solution? Pop it in the freezer!
As is often the case with preventing food waste, the freezer can be your best friend. Frozen fruit salad makes a great smoothie ingredient, and most of the time any add-ins — nuts, coconut, mint, honey — are perfectly delicious in frozen drinks, too.
To freeze, spread the leftover fruit salad in a single layer on a baking sheet, chill until solid, and store it in an airtight container.
