Good Ideas for Yummy Food Gifts for the Holiday Season?

Good Questions

Q: As the gift-giving season grows nearer my budget gets tighter. I'm looking to bake or cook gifts for aquaintances in my life (co-workers, neighbors, the postman, etc). I'd like to find a project that is low budget, not too time consuming if I need to make enough to give twelve or so people, and would keep well. Also something different from the usual holiday candy or cookies.
