After almost every meal I have a small amount of leftover ingredients. It might be a half cup of roasted peppers or garlic, possibly a few shreds of meat or even a bit of cheese. I usually end up piling it all into one ridiculously sized taco, but sometimes I freeze them for use later as pizza toppings.
I have one large zip-top bag in my freezer with a few additional smaller bags in it. This is my pizza stash. It's where I keep these tiny amounts of leftover ingredients to pull out on a whim when pizza is on the menu. Instead of heading to the store and buying a ton of ingredients, I just save them from meals past. If I did purchase ingredients from the store specifically for pizza, there's a high probability that I didn't use them all anyway. (Who wants a pizza with an entire raw onion on it?) Some things are best in moderation and freezing can help!
Do you store your leftovers? Even small amounts of marinara and cheese can be frozen! Share your tips in the comments below!

I do the same thing for soup!
I also use the grocery store salad bar: handful of black olives, tablespoon of real bacon bits, few slices of pepperoni, green pepper, fresh mushrooms etc. Some of these things I rarely keep at home. Freezing left over Italian Sausage, sauce and cheese is great idea. Thanks for the tip!
HOW have I never thought of freezing the leftovers before? I almost always am left with extra sauce, and I tell myself I'll use it on other things in the next few days...and then i find a sad little container weeks later in the back corner of the fridge. Now I just need to remember that I have happy little containers of sauce in the back corner of the freezer...
