I don't feel like the table is really set unless there's a basket of dinner rolls to pass around. Whether it's a simple chili dinner with friends or Thanksgiving itself, some sort of warm buttery bread feels necessary for nibbling throughout the meal and then scooping up that last saucy bite. Here are ten recipes that will do the job quite nicely.
The advantage of buns and rolls is that they can often be made ahead: the dough can be refrigerated overnight, or the baked rolls can be frozen and warmed again before serving. The advantage of biscuits is that they can be mixed, baked, and on the table in minutes.
Both are worthy of the bread basket. Both are easy to work into your schedule. Both will make your guests very happy. Done, and done.

I love the look of fantail rolls. So pretty.
Last Christmas I made a pan of rolls from the King Arthur baking blog. Forget the name but they were just really tender rolls dipped completely in butter then placed in a pan with a layer of butter then MORE butter poured on top before baking. They were ridiculously good! SO bad for you but I've never had a more tender, buttery amazing roll. My husband ate most of them and left the rest of his dinner alone!
This year, I'll have this Butternut Brioche on the table, and around for leftover sandwiches. http://bit.ly/uP44gs
Hi, I'm Italian but I've been living in Spain for 4 years. We don't celebrate Thanksgiving in Spain or Italy but it appears to be a nice family tradition. I suppose that the food is traditional too. Do you know where can I get recipe for traditional American cuisine?
@falky - Hang around here a little while, and you'll have enough American cuisine to last you for many meals to come! Especially in the next few weeks when we're covering all this big food-focused holidays.
