Heart-shaped food is practically irresistable this time of year, and the food blogosphere has found a myriad of ways to turn ordinary food into the shape of a heart. Here are fifteen different foods shaped like hearts -- some are obvious candidates and others, not so much.

If I plonked a plate of heart-shaped food down in front of my husband, he would most likely be bewildered, and then nervous that expectations were going to rise across the board for Valentine's Day.

Well, personally, my eight-year-old would love it if I made her conversation heart cakes. And since I'm not married, I think I'll be doing just that. I appreciate it for the occasion, not for everyday and everyone.
I think it is a fun and whimisical way to eat, even if it is only once/year. I plan to do the same for my almost one-year old daughter when she is old enough to understand.
