Food Blog Roundup: 07.17.2007

This week: food bloggers on a mission. Many food bloggers get into this with a project in mind, like Kitty and her mission to get her husband to eat his veggies...

Kitty lives in Park Slope and documents her attempts to get her husband to eat his veggies at My Husband Hates Veggies. She recently used the CrockPot as a cooler way to cook in the summer heat and made Chipotle Beef Short Ribs.

Mercedes at Desert Candy is on a mission too: to debunk and expose wrongheaded methods of making certain Middle Eastern specialties like tabbouleh and hummus. She also has cool and lovely Coconut-Mango-Lime Parfaits.

Terry and Isa at Vegan Cupcakes Take Over the World are also on a mission - better vegan cupcakes for everyone! The most recent recipe is for Ginger Chocolate Chunk Scones.

Shauna of Gluten Free Girl has been committed to offering resources for celiacs and gluten-free eating for a long time. She just got married, so congratulations are in order. While we're waiting for her to return to blogging, check out her inspiring story of gluten-free community.
