When it gets balmy here in San Francisco, we know it’s fall. To find out what fall feels like in the rest of the world, we head to the blogsphere.

Kitchenography is whipping up this delicious looking Squash and Fennel Soup with Crème Fraiche and Candied Pumpkin Seeds.

Seasonal Cook is thinking pork roast. This one from Simca’s Cuisine is browned with mustard and brown sugar and then flamed in bourbon. Sounds fun!

Fall in Austin, TX means temperatures in the lower 90s/upper 80s until late October. Maybe a quick three day blast of 50/60 degree weather here and there from the cold fronts that start spilling in. Then, it might just might dip down to the 70s until December. :) The leaves do start to turn come October though...either from the oppressive heat for months on end or just the normal fall leaf dropping...

I do start to make more soups though. I love squash soup, and it's a very comforting kind of food. That and bean soup...usually with a Mexican flavor to it.
