Folding Handles, Stacking Pots: Bialetti Cookware Concept

International Home & Housewares Show 2011

Here's an interesting cookware prototype that Italian cookware manufacturer Bialetti displayed at Housewares: A stacking all-in-one cookware set with folding handles. Is this the ideal set of cookware for a tiny, tiny kitchen?

These five colorful pieces include a pasta pot, a colander, a lid, a sauté pan and a frying pan. All the basics for day-to-day cooking, especially when you consider that the pasta pot can double as a mixing bowl.

The handles on the frying pan and the sauté pan fold up tightly so that the whole stack can slide into a narrow cupboard and be stored in a more compact space.

What do you think? Is this the perfect set for a small kitchen? The set is just a prototype right now, but it was prominently displayed at Housewares, and we hope that they received a lot of interest in it. It may show up soon in stores.
