Flagstones are such a beautiful way to establish a "floor" surface out-of-doors. Which naturally, then, leads to a table, chairs, and fantastic outdoor dinners. This gallery shows five favorite flagstone outdoor eating areas:
While flagstone does provide a flat surface, it's generally not nearly as flat as your indoor dining room. So, take care to even the table if you'll be entertaining. We put in a flagstone patio a couple of years ago. Pretty easy to do and it has been great. It has held up well too, even through some tough winters.
