Faucet Fountain from Tiny Living

It seems like we go through glass after glass during the summer, trying to get our full 8 servings of water a day. Even though we try to use just one throughout the day, it seems like we're always running out of cups. So we were intrigued by this water fountain faucet cover from Tiny Living. It doesn't replace a water glass, of course, but it might save a glass when all you need is a quick drink.

This little plastic gadget turns any faucet into a drinking fountain without interfering with normal faucet use. It would work very well in a bathroom too, and cut out any need for disposable paper bathroom cups.

I've always said when I got my own home I would have bubblers installed everywhere. Now I can have one now. Perfect!

I don't understand. Why don't you just use the same cup all day or refill a water bottle?

I had this exact one when I was a kid and loved it. I often am thirsty and don't want to use a glass, so this is perfect.

I can't stand the taste of our tap so I'm a Brita girl, but I think this is awesome for kids, and may even get one for my bathroom to take meds and after using mouthwash. Thanks!

With regards to Melissa A. about using the same cup-- I can admit that I have no short term memory due to chronic illness and I'm notorious for leaving glasses places and forgetting them, so out comes another one. Also sometimes using the same glass gets gross if your fingers get dirty from eating or if you're cooking--just my 2 cents as someone who uses more pint glasses than I'd like to admit!

Also notorious for spilling on a frequent basis, but fortunately it's usually just water!

It's really cute. Is it supposed to look like an orca whale, or am I imagining that? I had to read the post three times before I figured out what it did because I was too caught up with "It's a whale! Adorable!"

My cousins had one of these growing up and I was always so excited to stay over and use it when I brushed my teeth. Now I think it could really come in handy with Boyfriend who likes to "just have a quick drink" straight from the sink and manages to get water everywhere BUT his mouth. Consider me sold!

Yeah! I had one of these in my bathroom when I was little. Perfect quick drinks of water, for rinsing toothpaste, and for taking medicine. Love it!

I have a faucet water filter (I need it badly), so this wouldn't work for me.

I'm also not sure why a glass (or glasses) can't be refilled. And we always had a ceramic cup in the bathroom for rinsing our mouth. Yes, it's not so hygenic, but in a family of 3 I think most people are swapping germs anyway...

I had one of these when my kids were smaller and it didn't work well at all, it kept spurting out of where the top met the faucet, making a big wet mess.

my sister and I had this in our bathroom when we were younger for rinsing after brushing. it was fun, but the bottom flap often got in the way of regular water flow.

If y'all had nosy cats with a yen for ice water, you'd understand why some people can't use the same glass all day long. I turn my back, and somebody's snout is all up in my ice, yo. It's not sanitary.

my second thought was, how can i somehow combine this with my faucet-mounted pur filter? or does it filter water for you?

third, my reason for a fountain over cups: my 5 yr old is most of the time unable/unwilling to get her own drink twenty thousand times a day, it's a full-time job keeping her hydrated. and then rounding up all the cups throughout the house. mostly this is parental failure, i haven't sucessfully empowered her on the beverage front yet, but still - she'd be all over this fountain!

I have to admit that this gadget looks like a huge waste of water to me. Think about all the water that splashes down the drain when you drink from a fountain rather than a glass. It may be fun and cutesy - but at the environment's expense!
