Our slow-cooker has to be one of our favorite kitchen appliances, and despite its bulk, it never fails to survive our kitchen-clearing sweeps. It's good for making big batches that we can eat all week or freeze for a quick meal down the road. It also leaves our oven and stove-top free for other cooking, which comes in particularly handy around the holidays.
