Are you familiar with the French range maker company La Cornue? If not, allow us to introduce you to something that will inevitably haunt your dreams for the foreseeable future. These showstopping ranges are always the focal point of any kitchen they're in. How could they not be? The design, the colors, the richness and elegance of the whole thing. But at $8,000 a pop, they're clearly not for the budget-inclined. Ah well. It's the stuff dreams are made of.

Bacsac Bacsquare 04...

They look more like jewelry than a functioning tool.
hmm, i like them - but they definitely aren't my favorite i've ever seen. would never be worth that kind of money to me. but they are pretty to look at.
Yeah... that $8000 a pop is only for the newer models in pictures 2 and 5. Those seem to be available for 8600 and most places seem to want upwards of a grand for delivery and set up.
the classic Chateau series ones in picture 3 and 4 are probably in the 40K to 50K range. Plus I imagine that the installation in picture 1 is between 75 and 100K including the hood
Oh wow. What a gorgeous kitchen.
I've coveted one of these since I used one at a relative's house about 10 years ago.
I don't really think I can pretend they are worth that much money for someone like myself, who can cook fine with conventional, less expensive appliances. But they ARE beautiful and the food did benefit from it, for sure.
Yes, I've loved these ever since Williams Sonoma started carrying them. They have a pretty high BTU for a home range too.
Oh we love this line of stoves. Saw some gorgeous (and simple) ones in Montreal. Someday our dream kitchen will have one!
Much prefer the Aga cooker!
