Straw Mat from The ...

Good post. My favorite: country bread not toasted, butter lettuce, homemade mayo, lot of tomato, and not very crispy bacon.
I'm having one for dinner!
Also, the bacon in that first picture is WAY too cooked for my taste - I like it slightly crispy but not dry like that.
Everything you need? Um, bacon, lettuce, tomato. And bread. The name says it all.
Love the BLT obsession this week! I remember reading that for the BLT party people may get backed up at the toasting station. We use the oven broiler to toast several slices at once. This may heat up the kitchen, but it is very time efficient. If it's a party you can always ask your friends to bring a couple of extra toasters too.
Add a sliced avocado to take it WAY over the top....BLAT all the way, baby !
BLTA (avocado) all the way. Or BLTTA (turkey and avocado) for a super stuffed sandwich. Must be on super grainy toasted bread to make it perfect (at least for me).
Hellman's mayo a must! A BLT made with summer tomatoes is my all time favorite thing to eat. When I was a kid, my father would make BLTs for the entire neighborhood with the tomatoes from his garden. In August, there was always a line around the block for my Dad's BLTs!!
