Event: Picklefest and Produce Swap 2008

Los Angeles

A while back we told you about a communal jam event at Machine Project. Well it was such a success that they've moved on to pickling.

This Saturday join up with other pickling fanatics and novices and let Erik Knutzen and Kelly Coyne from Homegrown Revolution guide you through Machine Gallery's first ever pickling festival and produce swap.

All you need to do is bring:

1) pickle jars

2) things to pickle (radishes, cucumbers, cabbage, baby onions, green beans, carrots, garlic cloves, beets, lemons, turnips, all work nicely)

AND/OR

3) Produce from your garden to swap

Instead of the more well-known vinegar route for pickling, this Saturday will be all about old school lacto-fermentation. Read all about it on Machine's site.
