- What makes your small kitchen so cool?
- Every little thing has its own home in my little kitchen.
- Describe a challenge you've overcome or a smart resource you've found for your kitchen.
- A question we had to ask ourselves when renovating our kitchen was 'do we get rid of our dining room space for a larger kitchen? or compromise with small kitchen and small dining room?' We finally decided that we couldn't give up having a dining table and chose the latter. We maximized our small kitchen by building all the way to the ceiling.
- What's your favorite meal to cook here?
- I love trying new recipes from countries that I've visited. Last month was dumplings. This week is paella!

i love this kitchen! nicely done. the architectural details of the home are beautiful.
This is lovely. The chalkboard door is especially awesome!
Is this really just 60 square feet?
It looks like the 60sf only counts the area up to the island, and everything on the other side of that is called dining room.
This is beautiful! I love how you extended the cabinets all the way to the ceiling, and the wood counters, pot rack, and subway tile are so modern without feeling sterile. The change from the "before" images is incredible - lovely job!
Your sweet kitchen is beautiful, functional, bright and inviting. Perfect! Great job you two!
Small?
one of my favorite kitchens!! so many happy dumplings made here...
Such a beautiful kitchen! Well done
Very nice design. Where are the cabinets from?
awww.. thanks everyone :) . @jcharlesmith- the wall cabinets, I don't know where they're from, they came with the house. you'll see them before we painted and rearranged them in the before photos. I added the hardware which are from Restoration Hardware. The base cabinets are from Ikea.
Beautiful!
Emily, you nailed this! I love that you realized your space and created space saving..space...LOL..too much sprite this morning! Nicely done!
so well done. it does not seem like 60 square because you integrated with the dining room so seamlessly. well done!
Love this so much!
