Eat Local Month

This month in San Francisco is Eat Local Month, which hopes to spread the word about the benefits of eating food grown within a 4-hour drive (250 miles) from San Francisco.

Throughout the month of October, participating restaurants will have locally-sourced products on their menus and participating stores will be highlighting locally-made products for sale. There are also many scheduled tastings, demonstrations, and talks over the month.

Personally, each month should be "Eat Local" month, but if you've always wanted to learn more, participating in this month's events is a great way to learn and get started. Learn more by visiting the Eat Local Month website here.
