You know those square fruit containers you get from the farmer's market or grocery store? If you have a spare one sitting around, you may want to check out this clever, budget-friendly DIY project: turn it into a recipe card holder!

This project was originally posted on Design*Sponge back in 2010, and the initial idea was to create a postcard calendar journal out of the cartons. I love Ashley's ideas, and its nice to see her credited since the Today Show put this on without that courtesy! Here's the specific blog post on her site: http://ashleyannphotography.com/blog/2010/12/30/i-was-on-the-today-show-kind-of/
I made this DIY and like that the format was good for scrapbooking, I took a few of the memorable days of the year and included them in a baby book and a scrap book.
