We are always looking for ways to make celebration cakes a little prettier, but a little easier, too. So we are really taken with these edible icing sheets from Ticings!
They work on the same principle as all those Batman and Barbie icing overlays at your local supermarket bakery: Edible ink is printed on a thin sheet that, when laid on top of a cake, partially dissolves, leaving the design as part of the icing.
But here the designs are much more modern and cute! We really like some of the designs, especially the modern graphics and that peony design pictured on the wedding cake above.
If you're making a special cake for someone soon and are looking for a way to dress it up, this might be just the thing. Strips of edible icing for full sheet cakes run about $20, and sets that cover a dozen cupcakes are about $16.

The sheets may only cost $20 but the printer and edible ink are upwards of $300. Hardly something we're going to do for a couple of cupcakes.
I think you might have misunderstood - They're already printed. I think they're just kind of peel and stick. Very cute!
I love these! I am planning my wedding and these are the first designs I've seen that I actually like - thanks!
I'm also getting married soon, and I love the idea of these.
