In spite of what celebs like Taylor Swift, Madonna, and Brooke Shields might have taught us in those Got Milk? ads, drinking milk as an adult might not have all the health benefits you thought, says a recent article from the New York Times.
A recent study showed that drinking milk as an adult — and even as a teen — didn't significantly reduce bone fractures in older adults. In fact, in some cases those who drank milk actually had more bone fractures.
Like most things, milk is fine in moderation, but the classic recommendation of three glasses per day might be on the way out.
