On hot summer days, we often don't feel like cooking or even eating. In fact, we have a bad habit of forgoing lunch or dinner altogether, but this year we've resolved to change that by keeping the juicer, blender, and a bushel of fresh summer produce close at hand.
We don't necessarily advocate drinking your fruits and vegetables in place of a well-rounded meal (or even a salad) but let's face it, sometimes it's just too hot to eat, cook or think!
Here are a few refreshing combinations that incorporate seasonal produce. What are your favorites?

My daily favorite is a green smoothie with kale, spinach, mango, pineapple (and sometimes dandelion greens). Delicious, refreshing and healthy!
I've been juicing off and on since the new year and more recently got a NutriBullet. My main juices are parsley/carrot/celery/beet/apple and kale/broccoli/cabbage/carrot/apple. Since I got the NB, I've been adding some berries and flax seeds. Not bad at all. It definitely helps me get some raw veggies I'd probably never normally eat.
Thanks for featuring my Cucumber Watermelon Juice recipe. Another favorite juice I make is Green Lemonade. It's made with apple, celery, kale, lemon and ginger.
wow I've never tried combinations like this before. I'm going to give them a go! thanks.
