Why does this image inspire you? Joyce says...

Love is universally recognizable but every incarnation brings with it its own twist and unexpected flavor. At its base is a sense of comfortable familiarity - feelings of safety, solidarity, friendship, adoration. Mixed inside and sprinkled on top are the details of your own love story, complete with singular chance meetings, first date details, and a unique harmonization of personalities. So, for Valentine's Day, I wanted to celebrate the universality of love as well as its quirky manifestations - Classics flavors with a twist, easy to make, and light on the tummy.

Joyce's Quirky Classics
Pork and Apples - a mainstay of the Americana table; the sweet and savory make an unexpected combination.
Grapefruit Sorbet - not as decadent as ice cream but the intensities of bitter sourness and sweetness meld gloriously. an excellent palate cleanser for the piece de resistance.
Chocolate Souffle with an Earl Grey Sauce - souffle is the ultimate romantic food. Sweet, bitter, floral, ooey gooey and impossibly buoyant - all the things that we love about love.

Good luck Joyce!
