Refrigerators? Just one more freezer? Maybe two dishwashers, like this family? If you could have more than one something, what would it be?
Ours would be ovens—and that's not even a big deal. Plenty of people have two ovens! We don't, though, and when we're entertaining, we have to be strategic about spreading things out between oven, stovetop, and no-cooking-necessary.
Less technical: How about two windows? So you get light in every corner.
Hey, maybe you want two microwaves. It's your dream.

TW Salt Mill by Wil...

2 exterior walls with lots of windows. Yes, 2 ovens. 2 refrigeration units (1 dedicated refrigerator; 1 dedicated freezer; size appropriate and built into the walls). 2 large prep spaces. This list could go one forever...
2 counters (I barely have one as it stands).
I second the 2 counters. I have yet to find a kitchen with enough prep space!
two refrigerators, please!!! I love those in a photos above!!!
Two dishwashers! One for dirty and one for clean - then no need to ever unload!
I could use two freezers. When we inherited, a friend of mine said it would change my life. I laughed at her but goodness, she was right. I'm the food storage queen!
Two counters, pretty please.
At first I thought, "two dishwashers, yes, please!" but I suspect that the problem I think this would solve (dirty dishes piling up because the dishwasher is either too full of dirty dishes or full of clean dishes) is behavioral rather than a limitation of space. ;) I am fairly certain that if I had two dishwashers, I would just wait that much longer to unload/run them, and still have dirty dishes pile up.
Another freezer. I would so love to buy meat when it's on sale, and make lots of freezer jam, and just freeze trays of fruit and veg from when it's in season.
2 sinks, 2 ovens, and 1 full size fridge and 1 full size freezer. A friend of mine decided to cannibalize some of the space in their den to create the kitchen setup I described above and it was brilliant. Also 2 windows.
I'd like two maids to clean all my mess :-)
two extra hands to help hold, mix and multi task!
Growing up my parents entertained a lot and stored a lot of food. We had 2 ovens which were necessary for my mom's baking penchant. We also had 2 fridges plus a full size freezer. I am doing fine with my regular oven plus my large toaster oven but I really want a second freezer so I can buy meat in bulk or even cook in bulk and store homemade tv dinners in the freezer.
2 maids would be ideal and I'd give up 2 of everything else for that.
I have two ovens, and it really is great.
I'd like to have two sinks. The second one would be a small one on the other side of the kitchen, and then my family wouldn't get in my way when I'm cooking.
Two ovens would be perfect. And then maybe another KtchenAid, just because we're talking about splurging. ;)
Two refrigerators or at least another freezer would serve me well. Two ovens wouldn't be bad either, but I'd only need the extra one around the holidays.
@lazy_lurker - BRILLIANT idea! ;)
matchbookhymnal: You'd have one clean and one dirty. Then you'd never have to put anything away. yes . . .
I guess I already splurged. 2 cast-iron dutch ovens... on expensive (Le Crueset) and one inexpensive (Outset from TJ Maxx) It's wonderful to make soup and no-knead bread for the same meal.
this is a funny post and it is good to dream. I know that there are plenty of people in this country that can afford the big house that has 2 of everything, bcs they can afford it, and good for them. And I have no prob with that - but there are people in this world that don't even have a kitchen, not even a home. wouldn't it be nice if one donated the extra money toward some charity that spreads the wealth thru education, giving the 'have nots' the tools to have tomorrow???
We don't entertain all that much so the only time I would really use two ovens would be during the holiday cooking baking season. But two sinks on the other hand would be so useful. My sink is always being monopolized by fresh produce that is being washed and rinsed in various colanders. I would love an extra sink.
two ovens. i regularly bake in very large batches, and this would be handy.
I was going to say two freezers (I'd love to be able to freeze more seasonal foods rather than pickling or canning), but can I change my vote to 2x as much space?? My kitchen is very functional for cooking, but small--I'd looooove to have space for a family kitchen table, some more storage, a coat rack and a real landing strip (our back door opens right into the kitchen), and a place for the dog's bed where we weren't always tripping over it on our way to the dining room. But I guess a second freezer is more realistic.....
I love to entertain, so I'm in the two oven camp. They wouldn't even have to be full-size.
2 ovens for sure! Most of the time we just use our oven for a single dish so I'd love to heat only a smaller area. Too bad the double ovens are so much more expensive.
I would say 2 windows... but we currently have 0 windows and just 1 would be great, I think!
lol We already have two counters, so I'll say two windows. Ooo! Or two skylights!
Two sinks, or even just a very large double sink with two faucets, so my husband and I won't get in each other's way.
I've always daydreamed about having two ranges- a gas range for fancier dishes and those benefiting from quick heat, and a flat top electric for easier cleanup of the more mundane cooking.
I feel very lucky to have the 2 ovens (one is tiny in the drawer space, but it's great!) and a double sink. In my dream kitchen, I would certainly choose the full size fridge & full size freezer. Right now my 20cf fridge/freezer set up is about to burst open! But since I can make do with what I have, I'm very happy.
I totally get wanting 2 dishwasher, one for clean & one for dirty. I can imagine the chaos in my house for when I would forget to run it at night though:) But imagining a big beautiful kitchen with no upper cabinets & huge windows allover? Very, very nice!
My dream would be to have 2 kitchens, so I would not argue with my husband...
I'd agree on the two freezers. We actually have 3 refrigerators in our apartment: the one that came with it, my minifridge from college that I use as my bar, and the wine chiller my mom gave me (She ran out of outlets in her kitchen/dining area and got a bigger one). But we only have that one tiny freezer, in the main fridge, and there's never enough room for everything (especially as my girlfriend doesn't cook, so unless I make enough for leftover whatever we had, she just grabs something out of the freezer for lunch the next day!)
my absolute dream, no limit kitchen would have 2 ovens, 2 sinks, a big range (at least 6 burners and a grill and a griddle built in), and a big fridge with the freezer on the bottom.
my practical can't wait to leave tiny apartments behind kitchen would have two counters. I am so tired of not having any counter space.
I grew up with 2 dishwashers, one dirty and one clean, and it really is a brilliant idea. Less cabinet space filled by dishes, less mess, more eco-friendly (dishwashers usually are more "green" than hand washing, water waste wise), more space-saving. I don't have 2 anymore but I wish I still did!
Another husband, please. :o) I love the one I've got, but we have different tastes, and it would be great to be able to cook (& eat) w/ someone who shares my preferences and loves the food I cook.
Now that I have two freezers, I'm not sure how I lived without the 2nd one for so long. (Oh yeah, tiny SF apartment.) It totally changes how I cook. I can buy and cook in bulk, and I have space to make and freeze obscure ingredients, condiments, stock, etc. I hardly ever waste food because I can freeze what I don't eat.
For the most part, I'm still collecting my first round of stuff. I totally want a stand-up mixer. Drool.
2 ovens so I can cook 2 dishes at different temperatures.
We don't have a dishwasher, but if we did, I'd want the 2 drawer variety.
Two fridge-freezers..I barely have enough in my one and its only me!

two drawers. seriously. my current kitchen has *one* drawer.
Two bowls for my stand mixer.
2 ovens and 2 sinks/work areas -- and we got them!

Not exactly two of the same thing - but I would love to have a refrigerator/freezer that are freestanding from each other and full size. The other thing would be 1.5 ovens - like on the larger Viking ranges. One large oven, with the smaller one to the side.
Two ovens. We don't have room for two, unfortunately. But we are lucky enough to have four large windows (facing east and south, sot he light is wonderful), two frigs., a big freezer in addition to the frig. freezers, and a good amount of counter space. So overall I am pretty content with my kitchen.
But I would have to empty the clean one when I ran the dirty one.
Just wondering, is the kitchen in the picture a kosher kitchen?
I would love two ovens , I have room but we need to remodel first , I now have a 24 inch barbie oven which I manage to cook extravagant meals in , but it is a challenge !
@cojo, I don't know if it is, but that's a good guess! That didn't even occur to me until you mentioned it.
Two sets of sinks---one double sink, and one whopping big sink.
1. 2 dishwashers
2. An extra freezer
The house I grew up in has 2 ovens; this is something I would love to have again because I often want to serve things that must bake at different temperatures.
I would also love 2 refrigerators for the temperature reason as well - one at the usual cold temperature for milk, meat, etc. and the other simply cool for keeping vegetables and cheese at just the right temperature, and lightly chilling wine!
