Dorie Greenspan's book Baking: From My Home to Yours was one of our favorite baking books this past winter. She brings a great blend of comfort home cooking and French sophistication to her desserts, being both a self-taught home cook and having cowritten cookbooks with pastry genius Pierre Herme. So imagine our pleasure when we discovered that Greenspan has her very own blog - and really updates it!
She writes about spring visits to a Paris market, with a recipe for Vanilla Crème Anglaise to go with all those beautiful berries. She also writes a charming entry about brioche and biking in Paris.
She's generous with recipes (we're marking a couple to try) and has some good photos of techniques. Check out her photos of Daniel Pattersonn's poached scrambled eggs!
