I have to say that making and canning my own relish with a mix of cucumbers including heirloom organic cucumbers my friend grew was a revelation. I am a pickle lover, but still, the homemade relish is off the charts and so far superior to any pickle/relish you can buy in a grocery store. It's the one thing I've canned that I will not share and absolutely hoard.
Hmm. Artisanal pickles. Where can I pick some up? Farmer's markets?
