The recipes might come from chefs, but they are squarely in our camp as home cooks. With farmers markets starting to open and fresh produce finally coming in, this will be a good cookbook to have on hand.
I also appreciate the integration of environmentally-focused essays, infographics, and side-notes that accompany the recipes. They are useful for learning more about key environment issues and making more educated food choices as we shop for ingredients. I could also definitely see cooking from this book along with an enthusiastic young family member — the recipes are easy enough to help teach basic cooking skills along with lessons on sustainability.
