We talk a lot about breakfast for dinner
(mmm omelets and biscuits!) but what about bringing dinner to breakfast? Here's one lovely inspiration from Monika Kotus of Crumpets and Cakes: Spaetzle-esque breakfast dumplings with orange and ricotta. Hello! Yes please.
We've talked about our own favorite dumplings, ricotta spaetzle, and eating them for breakfast, as Alan does here. (Egg on spaetzle; so yummy!)
But these dumplings that Monika created for the weekly recipe feature at design blog Design*Sponge take the idea in a different direction. These are delicate and plumped up with ricotta, but flavored with orange zest and served with a lavender butter sauce. How fresh and just right for spring!
