Q: I accidentally stored a Le Creuset pot in my cupboard for a few months, not realizing there was about three tablespoons of cooking oil (canola oil or corn oil) in the bottom. I touched it and my finger stuck — I could not get this off my skin except by using paint remover and it took my quite a while. When I took a spoon to it, it formed peaks that remained. Any ideas?

Editor: I would try a heavy-duty cleaner like Bar Keepers Friend. See if that works!
