Nanaimo bars are great but I am sad that the Canadian butter tart wasn't mentioned, as they are possibly the most delicious thing ever.
Oh glorious Cannelé! Whenever friends mention they'll be going to France I make sure that they seek out some cannelé.
Where is the mention of Lamingtons? My Aussie friend introduced them to me and they are so delicious!
@bridgetchang Here's a post we did on Lamingtons!
2 and 3 should be reversed -- 2 is the Thai sticky rice and 3 is the cannelé. :)
I don't fancy cannelés much -- there's something about the mochi-esque texture of them that doesn't do it for me -- but I love a lot of these! I was really pleased to read that coconut sticky rice recipe the other day. It's so perfect in the heat of summer.
I really want to try the Egyptian syrup cake called Basbousa. I had it at church a while ago when someone came back from Egypt.
I love bibingka from the Philippines!
