Deep fried butter? Oh dear me, that's terrible
The article describes it as tasting like a roll with butter. In that case it's understandable. It's probably more dough than butter.
I actually tried the deep fried butter at the state fair. It was tasty, basically a doughy fritter wrapped around a blob of frozen butter that melts as it's being fried. When you bite into it the butter all gushes out. It tasted pretty good but very rich. I couldn't eat more than one of the little balls. Mine had some cinnamon in it, and was dusted with powdered sugar.
I am so craving deep fried butter now...gotta find a recipe!
Hmmmm. I'm going to a country fair ina couple of weeks. I hope they have deep fried butter. The best America has to offer.
