Corn tempura is delicious. I call them "Still Walkings" after the Japanese movie Still Walking in which they are featured prominently. It's a beautiful movie and inspired me to make them. I think they are called Kakiage in Japanese. They pop and splatter though so buy a splatter screen, the taste is worth it.
