What a cool way to incorporate travel memories into the kitchen! While this is much more permanent than a snapshot stuck on the fridge door, it's also a really cool, bold graphic that could change the entire look of your kitchen:
Spotted over at Marie Claire Maison, this is a backsplash that's made with a blown-up vacation photo. We love the playful scale of this: it's completely unexpected.
Want to try this with your own vacation photo? Here's a how-to for creating a vinyl photo backsplash from HGTV (pictured below).

not tacky, but omg so weird! I can see this in a diner but not in my own kitchen.
I'm going with "creepy". Also, when those kids are teenagers...

This reminds me of Christies in Newport, Rhode Island. But I don't live there, so it's nifty when you visit. Not sure I could live with this everyday!

In the right place this would be cool and interesting but in my house? nooo.
With the right photo, I'd do this in a heartbeat.
Definitely creepy and/or tacky imo. Plus, would be a huge hassle when you go to sell one day or want to update the kitchen (it's way too gimmicky and "trendy" with a small-t as opposed to classic and classy).
tacky for sure. ugh, if my parents had done something like that when I was a kid I would have been horrified and defiantly never invited any friends over ever.
