What challenge have you overcome in your kitchen? The original space was claustrophobic, with walls dividing up the kitchen, living room, foyer, and dining room. I redesigned the space, tearing down the walls between the spaces and reconfiguring the relationships between those rooms. A custom stainless steel countertop piece folds upward to create a bar height counter that is a breakfast bar and a visual division between the two rooms.

What's the story of your kitchen?
I pooled my cash with a friend to purchase this coop in New York City last year. Unrenovated since it was built in the 1920's, the kitchen was a dilapidated mess with cockroaches dead on the floor, vinyl tile, a legitimate farmhouse kitchen sink, and no countertops (see image #2). We ripped everything out, and put everything in the kitchen ourselves on a $4500 budget.
The new kitchen has LED lights, no-VOC paint, and salvaged appliances.
What is your favorite meal to cook here?
I love experimenting with my maternal family's recipes, while my roommate enjoys concocting vegan science experiments.

Floral Drink Dispen...

Way too much stainless steel for my taste. It looks like an industrial warehouse and not very inviting to relax or cook in. Sorry, the corners need "softened".
Uhm, I'm being dense tonight. Could someone help me figure out which pics are the befores vs the afters?
RIP farmhouse Sink.
How sad that the exposed brick has given way to a plain white wall. I like what I'm assuming is the "before" on the left better.
The exposed brick is part of the after picture. It's a panorama.
To clarify this posting, please post separate photos of the space AFTER you clean out the storage/construction debris and show us how you really equip and use the spaces. The potential looks promising now that you've clarified what you shot.
