We couldn't be more thrilled about the holiday baking season. And when it comes right down to it, chocolate rules.
We all have our very favorite holiday cookies. Perhaps family friends gift them to you or you bake them alone or with family members. Maybe you're known for a certain treat and your co-workers and significant other start hassling you right about now to get cracking on them. Regardless, there's always space for something new in the line-up, and we think chocolate is in order this year. Deep, dark, rich chocolate cookies. Here are a few recipes from around the web that we're excited to try:

Straw Mat from The ...

A cuple of week ago i baked the pecan chocolate cookies from food and wine and were a total sucess. Good list!
Cooking Light's Cocoa Fudge Cookie recipe (you can find it if you Google it) is absolutely my favorite chocolate cookie recipe.
I second the World Peace Cookies... originally a Dorie Greenspan creation... actually a chocolate sable.
I have been making "chocolate rads" (a radically chocolate cookie) out of an old Bon Appetit cookbook for years now. They are so intensely chocolatey!
