Pumpkin butter, sweet and spicy - it's good on bread, scones, and crackers. We really liked this
Pumpkin Butter from Cookie Mag, a recipe to go along with their equally yummy
Flaxseed, Fig, and Walnut Crackers. They say it's a good way to get some delicious nutrition into kids - without
disguising it.
Pumpkin butter isn't safe for canning, but it will keep up to a week in the fridge.

Someone made those crackers here. with good results.
oops.
here it is.
Why is it unsafe for canning when it can be bought commercially canned?
High-acid foods like pickles, tomatoes, and many fruits and vegetables are more resistant to bacteria growth and considered safe for home canning with water baths or pressure canners.
Low-acid foods like meats and some veggies (like pumpkin) can also be preserved but it's trickier. Commercial canners use methods not available to home canners.
