we eat like this at lease one night a week

My husband has a wooden cutting board problem. He cannot pass them up. Interesting shapes, different wood types. He loves to put cheese, crackers, spring rolls, you name it. Eating in the backyard is way more fun on a wooden chopping block. My only beef is that they can't go in the dishwasher.

Especially nice for cheese platters!

I second this great idea! I frequently use my wood cutting boards for cheese and charcuterie platters. The food against the natural wood grain makes for easy, beautiful, rustic presentations.

Do this all the time. It's especially handy for those items that may require a firmer hand when slicing.

All the time. I have a large bamboo cutting board that sits on the counter 24/7. It serves as prep area, staging area, cutting, and serving area. Totally multifunctional and easy.

I've always loved the look of serving things on a cutting board. It's so casual and comfortable, no frills or expectations. Especially on a beautiful wood grained cutting board.

This is one of my fondest food memories from childhood. As a way to clean out the fridge, my mom used to prepare quick lunches of sliced apple, cheese, maybe some leftover chicken breast, salami, grapes, etc. We'd take it outside and declare it "cutting board lunch".

We use ours this way all the time. We have quite a collection--from the size for one hunk of cheese and a few slices of bread to a large granite slab (it was the cutout for our sink that we had them finish and polish for us) for large cheese platters for out holiday parties.
