Custom cabinets are wonderful, but for many folks, they often aren't in the budget. One way to easily create a custom look, however, is to add custom feet to cabinets. This is a simple trick, but one problem: Purchasing feet, as it turns out, is actually really pricey. This homeowner found a way around it and has accomplished the look for far less!

Custom feet for your cabinets is a fun look that can add a little luxury to your space, but ordering said feet either from your local big box retailer or an online source can run you around the $75 mark — per foot! Many might agree that there are far better ways to spend your cash, so to get the look for less, this homeowner made her own.

Instead of using pre-bought feet, finials and wooden rounds or buttons were used in combination. The buttons gave the finials a little bulk and made them tall enough to get the job done. With the help of a little paint they now match the existing cabinet color and things are right as rain. It's an inexpensive improvement that can add a lot of look to your kitchen!
