We love the style of this vintage carafe by Pyrex. It's a beautiful yet simple design: a glass vessel closed by a spherical cork on a leather strap. Keep your eyes peeled and you might be able to turn one up for yourself:

Oh! I've seen those corks before and always wondered what they were for. I guess the carafes they went with must have broken.

I love vintage Pyrex carafes too! I have the exact one pictured as well as a few others. They all look lovely grouped together. My Chemex coffeemaker looks right at home living next to them as well.

I think my most recent previous comment said Apartment Therapy reads minds. Apparently, so does The Kitchn. I just last night made some homemade salad dressing and thought, I wish I had something vintage and beautiful to pour this out of. I'd need a tiny one though.

I've collected vintage Pyrex (both kitchen and laboratory) for years. This carafe is by far my favorite. So much so, I bought two (for less than $5 at the Goodwill).
