Mixing bowls are a necessity in every kitchen. Whether you have a set or mix-and-match pieces, you've got at least a few. We often see color-coordinated sets of mixing bowls, and we can't help but stop and appreciate how beautiful they are.
Pretty mixing bowls like these are also multi-use: When they are this cute, they can go from kitchen to table as serving bowls, too.
We've rounded up some of our favorite from The Kitchn archives:

These are all super cute- would probably use them as serving bowls, though. I am partial to my graduated sets in glass and stainless.

I also prefer my glass and stainless sets. I used to have a beautiful retro-colors set of melamine bowls, but then I realized that they were melamine...!
While I always scour Anthropologie for their beautiful mixing bowls, cups, and spoons, I never buy them. I don't trust them. The prettier and more complex they are, the less accurate they are, and the more prone to disaster. And the less likely you can trust they're non-reactive and non-porous.
So, while they're pretty...NO. When I want eye candy, I buy pretty cake stands.
My favorite set is the Farberware stainless bowls. Lightweight, and easy to drag out of the cupboard. The pretty colorful Pyrex are heavy when nested, so they sit unused unless non-metal is needed.
what are the bowls in the first pic. The one before the morph set?
I got these a while back:

They are good sizes and I love the pouring spout.
The first picture bowls are German, Waechtersbach is the company. You can buy them at Williams-Sonoma for the set or through their website for individual! I have them, but use them for serving not really for mixing or prep. They as SO pretty but metal spoons can mark them up and they are a little delicate. I do love them, they were one of the best wedding gifts we received!
