We've still got that cinnamon-sugar coated kugelhopf on the brain and are plotting a homemade version to bake this weekend. Are you in the baking mood? Here are a whole bunch of cinnamon-y and sugar-y treats that would be perfect to pack up and take on a picnic this weekend!
• Super Soft Snickerdoodle Cookies from the Kitchn - Chewy and just a little tangy, these cookies always hit the spot.
• Rugelach Pinwheels from Martha Stewart - We're intrigued by the cream cheese in the dough!
• Cinnamon Palmiers from Epicurious - If you use store-bought puff pastry, we won't tell a soul.
• Cinnamon-Sugar Popcorn from Real Simple - We'd love a bag of this for snacking on the grass.
• Doughnut Muffins from Fine Cooking - These taste exactly like cake donuts, except without the deep frying. No joke!
• Triple Cinnamon Scones from King Arthur Flour - Perfect for brunch on the back porch.

Rugelach dough always has cream cheese in it!
It's a very forgiving dough and makes excellent cookies, whether you form them into those little yummy horns or not. That dough also makes great cut-out cookies and palmiers.
The Caramel Glazed Cardamom Palmiers recipe from Alice Medrich's Pure Dessert uses the same kind of cream cheese dough and is a total winner!

I routinely have my last cup of coffee around 3p, and I'll make myself two pieces of cinnamon toast for a snack. It's one of my favorite treats.
I loved Snickerdoodles as a child, but my son's favorite cooky is peanut butter. He could never understand why I would even want to make some cookies that weren't peanut butter!
