Earlier this year Chipotle made a move to eliminate all GMOs from its menu; now the fast food company is working on an overhaul of its tortillas.
The goal is to cut the number of ingredients (currently 11) and make a simple, more wholesome flour tortilla. The kind of tortilla you might make in your kitchen.
But on a much grander scale. That's the tough part, and why Chipotle partnered with the Bread Lab. They're working on a new recipe with fewer ingredients that can meet the large-scale demand of just under a million tortillas a day.
