Did you forget to chill the wine? How dare you! Don't worry, Martha Stewart has your back with this quick tip to chill an entire bottle in less time than it took to write this post.
Martha says that to chill a bottle in a flash all you need is a linen dishtowel. Wet the towel and then wring it out. Wrap it around the bottle and toss it in the fridge for 30 minutes. Have even less time than that? Toss it in the freezer for 15 minutes!
If it works for wine, it surely works for other beverages you might be serving with dinner or even dishware you want ice cold before serving.

I think an ice bath works great, too... fill a large bowl or ice bucket with ice and cold water, plunge the bottle in there and let it sit for 15 minutes. Ice cold champagne or wine in a hurry.
I like the ice bath too, especially if you add a bunch of salt. It gets super duper cold. We do this for beer quite often! But I wouldn't mind trying the dishcloth method too - looks less messy...
Martha!!
The best way to chill win is to put it in a ice AND WATER bath. It'll zippity-do-dah right on down to chilled faster than one or the other on their own.
Uhm. Wine. Not win.
