Looking for a little splash of something more exciting to jazz up your salads this fall? Take a cue from the vineyards. Many types of vinegar come from wine in one way or another, but this Napa Valley vinegar plays up its origins with notes of Cabernet and jammy fruit. Here's what Emma has to say about it:
This Cherry Cabernet Vinegar has been quietly rocking my lunch salads for the past few weeks. It has a rich cherry flavor that's tart without making me pucker, and I can't get enough. I've even been sneaking spoonfuls into my cocktails and glasses of soda water — it's just that good.
Personally I'd use this on a baby kale salad with dried cherries, goat cheese, and pepitas, with a splash of smoked olive oil. Doesn't that sound good? And I love Emma's instinct to add it to cocktails and drinks, like a super-easy homemade shrub.
