My heart skipped a beat when I first laid eyes on the stunning porcelain dinnerware collection from Ceramik B., a ceramic concept studio started by Montreal-based ceramicist Basma Osama. The striking, minimalist collection includes porcelain cups, bowls, and plates offered in a limited palette of gray, beige and cream.
Ms. Osama, who immigrated to Canada in 1995, is a graduate of the Centre de Ceramique Bonsecours. She launched her first tableware collection in 2007, and the studio has slowly but steadily gained worldwide recognition since then:
The collection of tableware, designed by the ceramicist, reflects evidence of her attraction to minimalism whereby the line and the silhouette are the foremost elements. By meticulously crafting the shape and texture, each piece, inspired by organic forms, carries an invitation to the hand to revisit the daily gestures and rituals.
Unfortunately, online shopping is not available, but you can view a list of retail stores carrying the collection here
